If you are having an issue when allocating your lab, please be patient as this is known to be an auto-scaling design working in the background of the machines.
Auto Scaling Group is a collection of EC2 instances set aside for a virtual machine. The group depends on the number of instances set as the desired capacity. Adjusting the size to meet demand, either manually or by using automatic scaling.
Essentially what this process is that the number of instances has been set aside as "on Ready" basis for the users to readily start. Once these set instances are allocated for their labs, another set of instances will be auto-scaled on the backend of the AWS as part of the auto-scaling group. This process would ideally take a considerable amount of time to auto-scale to the required number of users using the lab currently
In our Florida CyberHub environment, our Auto Scaling Group has been set to 10 instances per virtual machine. In the case that multiple users are allocating at once or a user has allocated and destroyed various times in a small time frame, we ask to give the process a few minutes as scaling up the new instances are happening in the background of your machine.
